However, if your residence includes a basement or is built on a slope with a crawl space beneath the ground floor, you might be eligible for the grant. Adequate headroom of at least one meter beneath the floor, coupled with hatch access, is essential for consideration.

Moreover, for eligibility, at least two-thirds of the home’s footprint must be accessible for the installation of underfloor insulation.

Even if your property already has underfloor insulation, there’s a possibility of updating it with modern insulation materials to enhance its efficiency.

There are also criteria that must be met by the homeowner occupying the house where the underfloor insulation is required. The homeowner must be a receiver of any of the following:

  • Housing Benefit
